About Us
Looking for authentic Italian flavours without the fine-dining bill? Il Piccolo Pizzeria is a Toa Payoh hawker stall where pasta, pizza and handmade gnocchi share a kitchen with everyday Singapore coffee-shop energy.
Founded in 2011 by Hangzhou-born chef Zhou Zong Qing, Il Piccolo grew from years of Western kitchen experience in Singapore into a stall known for an unusually wide Italian menu — dozens of pizzas and pastas, plus dishes you rarely see at a coffeeshop, such as gnocchi, calzone and crespelle.
Everything is prepared from scratch in a one-man kitchen. The stall now serves diners at Blk 126 Lor 2 Toa Payoh #01-577, after relocating within Toa Payoh from its long-time home at 78C Toa Payoh Central. Guests still come for the same idea: restaurant-quality Italian food at hawker prices.

Customer Reviews

“Not always can you find gnocchi in a kopitiam/hawker. $7.50 for the pasta + $2 for additional meat. Thick cream and strong tomato taste. Place also comes the cheese powder and chilli flakes.”
Google review
“Very wide variety. Some dishes much better than rest but all are still decent. The crayfish special is peppery and great. Chicken mushroom spinach roll is also very good. The gnocchi, sauce is very good…”
Google review
“Had gnocchi (‘cheese potatoes’ on the menu) and chicken lasagna for $7.50 each which were great value. Food is better than saizeriya for only slightly more. Would come back again when I craved simple Italian fare…”
